About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced SAP Senior Manager to lead, structure, and develop an internal SAP Competence Center supporting an international business group.

The professional will oversee SAP operations, service delivery, application maintenance, and international roll-out projects while managing a multidisciplinary team of approximately 15–20 professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the SAP Competence Center, including team structure, recruitment, and organizational development.
• Manage multidisciplinary SAP teams, Team Leads, external consultants, and service providers.
• Oversee SAP application support, corrective and evolutive maintenance, incident management, and service continuity.
• Define governance frameworks, operating models, delivery standards, and IT service management processes.
• Coordinate international SAP roll-out projects, ensuring quality, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Manage SAP service demand, stakeholder expectations, priorities, and operational risks.
• Oversee operational and project budgets, performance indicators, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with SAP, external partners, and international business stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of professional experience in SAP environments.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience managing SAP application teams, support organizations, or SAP Competence Centers in an internal corporate environment.
• Strong experience in SAP Service Delivery, Application Maintenance, IT Governance, and international SAP roll-outs.
• Solid understanding of SAP ECC 6, including functional and technical domains such as FI, CO, SD, MM, PS, PA, PY, PB, BW, and ABAP.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, including recruitment, team development, and organizational structuring.
• Knowledge of ITIL principles, Demand Management, Incident Management, Change Management, and Release Management.
• Proven experience managing operational budgets, SAP projects, external vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Understanding of SAP integrations and dependencies between enterprise systems.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
• Portuguese C1 and English B2+ minimum, with availability for occasional international travel.

• Experience in international organizations with multi-country SAP roll-outs.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience in the Professional Services industry.
• French language proficiency.
• PMP certification or additional SAP, IT Service Management, Project Management, or Leadership certifications.

Ideal Candidate Profile

A Senior SAP Manager with extensive experience leading internal SAP Competence Centers and multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate combines strong SAP ECC 6 knowledge with people management, service governance, project delivery, and financial management capabilities. The professional should be able to build and stabilize a high-performing SAP organization while supporting business operations across multiple countries.
