Project Sustainability Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading contractor specialising in advanced manufacturing, data centres, food, logistics, and pharmaceuticals. As a Project Sustainability Coordinator , you’ll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of the company’s sustainability strategy, while embedding environmental and social best practices across major construction projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Drive Certification Success – Support project teams in achieving BREEAM, LEED, or equivalent certifications, collating robust evidence and guiding delivery to hit key sustainability targets.
  • Lead Site-Based Impact – Carry out site inspections, draft Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs), pollution response plans, and social value assessments that bring sustainability to life on the ground.
  • Turn Data into Action – Collect, analyse, and report performance data that not only meets ESG requirements but sparks continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Champion Collaboration – Work closely with clients, regulators, supply chain partners, and internal teams to ensure projects align with sustainability goals and exceed expectations.
  • Shape the Future – Contribute to sustainability policy development, support Environmental Management Systems, and share knowledge to inspire change across the business.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Qualification in an Environmental, Sustainability, or ESG discipline (desirable)
  • Fluent in both English and Portuguese (essential)
  • Knowledge of BREEAM / LEED certification processes (desirable).
  • Hands-On Experience – Previous experience in a professional environment
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with strong report writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and process large datasets for sustainability metrics and reporting.
  • Full driving licence (role involves site visits and travel).
