The Role : Business Analyst (Banking / IT)

Location : Lisbon

Work Model : 4 days in the office (in the 1st trimester), then is 3 days a week onsite

Sector : Financial Services

Languages : English (B2–C1)

Eligibility : Currently living in Portugal and be legally authorized to work there

Your Profile

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and performance.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Comfortable working in cross-functional and international environments.

Proactive mindset with a strong willingness to learn and grow.

Team player who values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Fluent in English (Portuguese and / or French are a plus).

Experience in banking or financial services is an advantage but not mandatory.

Technical Skills

Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT projects.

Strong knowledge of SQL; PL / SQL is highly valued.

Ability to understand and read code (any programming language is a plus).

Experience in defining and executing manual and / or automated test cases.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Experience with GIT or other version control systems is a plus.

Knowledge of Gherkin / Cucumber is an advantage but not mandatory.

What You Will Be Doing

Gather, analyze, and challenge business requirements in close collaboration with stakeholders.

Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.

Propose scalable and efficient IT solutions together with development teams and architects.

Perform impact analysis and support solution design decisions.

Write and optimize SQL / PL / SQL queries for data analysis and validation.

Define, document, and execute test cases (unit, integration, UAT / FAT).

Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.

Contribute to Agile ceremonies and ensure proper follow-up using tools such as Jira.
