R&D Team Leader

Tecnimede Group is a 40 years Portuguese multinational company that wants to improve and preserve human life and health through the development, production and marketing of pharmaceutical products with a strong focus on quality and technological innovation. The group covers the entire life cycle of the medicinal products for human use with a strong investment in research and development.

We are looking to reinforce our team with a R&D Team Leader.

As a R&D Team Leader you will play a pivotal role in driving our research and development initiatives, managing project timelines, and mentoring a team of dedicated researchers. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong scientific background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for pharmaceutical development.

You will be responsible for:

• Lead and manage a team of researchers in the design, planning, and execution of R&D projects.
• Develop and implement research strategies to meet company goals and objectives.
• Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high standards of scientific rigor.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including regulatory, clinical, and manufacturing departments.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.
• Monitor industry trends and advancements to keep the team informed and competitive.
• Prepare and present research findings to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines.
• Keep up-to-date and promote continuous improvement.

Profile:

• A candidate with advanced proficiency in R&D pharmaceutical team leadership – University degree in pharmacy or related field is a plus;
• Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring R&D pharmaceutical teams.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Ability to foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
