Data Engineer :

For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced Data Engineer for a long contract based in Porto, Portugal.

Its paying well and my client can interview asap!

Competencies :

  • Advanced knowledge of AWS data services (Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, Athena, Redshift)
  • Strong expertise in SQL development and optimization across MySQL and PostgreSQL
  • Proficiency in ETL pipelines and orchestration (Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions)
  • Cloud networking knowledge (VPC, subnets, routing tables, security groups)
  • Data modeling and optimization for performance and scalability
  • Strong leadership, mentorship, and documentation skills

Essential Skills :

  • AWS services : Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, Athena, Redshift, CloudTrail, X-Ray
  • Python programming for data engineering workflows
  • SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) with performance tuning expertise
  • Data modeling and integration for scalable systems
  • ETL pipeline development and orchestration (Airflow, AWS-native tools)
  • Strong technical leadership and mentoring ability
