Ferring+You

As an AI Platform Engineer, you will design, deliver and support the Ferring AI Framework and collaborate with business functions in delivering AI projects.

You will collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, platform architects and business end-users, to operationalize AI solutions and support the entire lifecycle, from inception to delivery.

You will be instrumental in building Ferring's AI capabilities and contributing to the definition of architectural standards by following industry best practices and keeping up with the latest technology trends.

As an AI Platform Engineer, you will be part of cross-functional projects teams to deliver AI solutions tailored to Ferring business to support our mission to deliver life-changing solutions to patients at every stage of life.

We are in the process of extending our data analytics capabilities and laying out the foundations of a novel framework to deliver AI solutions.

You will be part of a global Analytics team. Working from our Lisbon center of excellence, you will collaborate with global stakeholders and in different business domains.

Your day at Ferring

• Define, deliver and maintain our technological ecosystem to support AI and data operations (e.g. MLOps, DevOps, DataOps, LLMOps).
• Collaborate with data engineers and platform architects to design and implement the Platform AI Framework.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists and platform architects to define AI strategy and model deployment pipelines.
• Build, train, fine-tune or use machine learning and AI models. Experiment and benchmark different models and architectures to optimize performance.
• Manage and guide our technological and consulting partners to deliver the most adequate AI solutions.
• Interact with our Infrastructure & Security team to deploy robust, secure, scalable and cost-effective solutions.
• Participate in the integration of AI-driven solutions into existing data platforms, ensuring smooth data flows and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into AI-driven solutions.
• Troubleshoot and maintain AI solutions and machine learning workflows in production.
• Continuously improve the AI and machine learning infrastructure to ensure scalability, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Ensure AI solutions comply with security, quality standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Provide application support and contribute to the ongoing maintenance and improvement of AI systems.
