The Role

We are looking for a Data Platform Engineer to join our Engineering team, who will be responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and scaling our Data Platform. As a Senior Engineer, you will have an exceptional impact, delivering high-quality work. We expect you to learn quickly, solve complex problems, and take full ownership of issues from identification to resolution. You enjoy collaboration across teams, driving initiatives, and contributing to achieving key business goals. Your strong technical expertise and passion for data will help you succeed in this role.

Our data platform delivers real-time insights into client-side behaviours to detect malicious activity. It processes millions to billions of data entries from web applications, identifying cybersecurity threats and PII (Personally Identifiable Information) compromises.

We are investing in expanding the platform's capabilities, aiming to offer real-time data analysis and support new use cases. Our customers rely on our products to digest large volumes of data into easy-to-read, actionable dashboards that highlight potential attacks and security risks.

What will your day-to-day be like?

• Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to fulfil business strategies and processes;
  
  
• Ensure datamodels are aligned with business needs and processes;
  
  
• Collaboratewith product managers, engineers, and data analysts to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions;
  
  
• Ensure automated and frictionless data flow between different systems and platforms;
  
  
• Developandimplement policies and standards for effective data governance;
  
  
• Ensure dataquality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory standards;
  
  
• Promotetheadoption of cutting-edge technologies and best practices in the organization's data architecture;
  
  
• Identify and assess new tools, platforms, and frameworks to enhance data architecture and management.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data architecture, modelling, database design, and data management;
  
  
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data governance principles;
  
  
• Hands-on experience with technologies like Airflow, Clickhouse, MongoDB, Kafka and Grafana;
  
  
• Experience in building ETL/ELT pipelines from scratch;
  
  
• Experience with event-driven architectures;
  
  
• Proven ability to design and implement large-scale data architectures;
  
  
• Capability to drive innovation in data architecture and explore new technologies and methodologies;
  
  
• Knowledge of JavaScript is valued;
  
  
• Knowledge of Security/Application Security is valued;
  
  
• Fluencyin English is mandatory.
