Ferring+You

The Global Insurance Manager is responsible for implementing and managing the company’s global insurance strategy to protect assets, operations, and personnel across all regions. This includes overseeing corporate insurance programs, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and optimizing coverage for pharmaceutical-specific risks such as product liability, clinical trials, and supply chain disruptions.

Your day at Ferring

Insurance Program Management

• Maintain global insurance programs (Property, Casualty, Product Liability, Clinical Trials, D&O).
• Negotiate terms with brokers and insurers to ensure cost-effective coverage.
• Monitor and evaluate insurance market trends and regulatory changes.

Risk Assessment & Mitigation

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and assess insurable risks.
• Provide guidance on risk transfer strategies for new projects, acquisitions, and expansions.

Claims Management

• Oversee global claims handling process, ensuring timely resolution and accurate reporting.
• Act as liaison between internal teams and insurers for complex claims.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure adherence to local and international insurance regulations.
• Maintain documentation and reporting for audits and regulatory reviews.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, R&D, and local teams to align insurance coverage with business needs.
• Advise senior management on insurance-related matters and emerging risks.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., ARM, CPCU) preferred.

Experience:

• 5-7 years in corporate insurance or risk management, ideally in a multinational environment.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences industry preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Deep knowledge of global insurance markets and regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical-specific risks (clinical trials, product liability).

Soft Skills:

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects across multiple geographies.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
