Your main mission will be : to report to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the Financial management : Supervising all the hotel's financial activities, including cash flow, bank reconciliations and profitability analyses
Your main functions will be :
Preparation of financial reports : Ensuring accuracy in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, in line with regulatory requirementsBudget and planning : Participating in the preparation of the annual budget, financial forecasts and monitoring resultsCost control : Analysing and controlling the hotel's operating costs, identifying opportunities to improve financial efficiencyCompliance and auditing : Ensure compliance with local tax and regulatory standards, supervising internal and external auditsInterdepartmental collaboration : Working closely with other departments to provide financial information that supports strategic decisionsEstablish and maintain internal controls to prevent fraud and financial mismanagementDevelop the investment planDefine the general conditions for implementing financial policies and control their executionAnalyzing contracts with suppliers, partners and other external companies on legal aspects and compliance rulesResponsible of Procurement department and WarehouseReporting to the headoffice and owning companyAssist the General Manager in the strategic financial decisionsWhat you will love about us!

What do we expect from you?
Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years' experience in financial control functions, preferably in the luxury hotel sectorIn-depth knowledge of accounting, financial control and ERP toolsAnalytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressureFluent English and Portuguese (preferred). Other languages a plusProactivity, ability to work in a team and strategic visionProven track record of strategic financial planning and execution in hospitality businessAbility to outline financial strategy, provide strategic insights, and make data-driven recommendationsRelational, resilient profile with strong adaptabilityExcellent leadership skillsGood communication skillsHigh level of integrity, ethics, and professionalismAgility and adaptability in a new business environmentMay require extended hours during financial reporting periods or auditsAble to reside in Island of Maderia, Portugal.
