We are scaling our platform to handle more merchants, more volume, and new payment methods, while staying compliant with European regulations like PSD2, DORA, and CESOP.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior / Staff Software Engineer with strong experience in Golang and microservices architecture to design, build, and scale the next generation of Easypay’s payment platform.

Our platform exposes public-facing APIs that power critical merchant integrations. Every detail matters. From API design to performance and error handling, you will play a key role in ensuring we deliver a world-class developer experience .

We are a Remote-First company : you can work from anywhere in Portugal, or choose to collaborate from our Lisbon office. We believe you should work wherever you’re most productive.

What You’ll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable Golang microservices
• Ensure precision in API design , versioning, and documentation
• Lead technical discussions and guide architecture decisions for secure, performant payment systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Ops, and Compliance to deliver secure, compliant, and resilient solutions.
• Mentor and coach other engineers, elevating the team’s technical capabilities.
• Ensure code quality through code reviews , testing, and continuous improvement practices.
• Contribute to our developer experience strategy — making integrations simple and reliable for merchants.
