ABOUT THE ROLE :

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team within a leading telecommunications carrier. This role will play a vital part in managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting accurate financial reporting primarily in Europe and the United States. The Accountant will contribute to the financial success of the organization by maintaining precise financial records and assisting with various accounting tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial data to identify variances and trends.

Create and import journal entrees.

Assist in the preparation of budgeting and forecasting reports, collaborating with other departments to gather relevant financial information.

Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, intercompany transactions and other general ledger accounts.

Support the external audit process by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

Ensure compliance with internal processes related with tax regulations and assist with, including VAT and corporate income tax.

Evaluate and improve internal controls and accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Assist with special projects, financial analysis, and ad-hoc reporting as required.

ABOUT YOU :

You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance; CPA or ACCA certification is preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the telecommunications industry or a related sector.

Knowledge of accounting principles and standards (GAAP / IFRS).

Experience with financial reporting and analysis.

Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines, as well as effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge or experience with financial consolidation processes and tools is a plus.

Familiarity with SAP and other IT Tools - telecommunications industry-specific accounting practices is a plus.

Strong English knowledge is mandatory – additional languages such as Spanish, French, German, or other European languages are advantageous.
