What we do?

VWFS Porto is a VWFS AG IT hub, and the first outside Germany. Here we will establish a long-term Business & IT company. Our primary goal is to service all European markets in implementing and maintaining contract management systems and overseeing IT projects in other areas. Our focus is on: core systems, satellite systems (such as document management systems, collection systems) but also extends to integrations, data, and large project organizations. For this we seek a hands-on Corporate Lawyer.

Objectives:

The Lawyer will report to Legal and Compliance Manager of VWFS. Its main objective will be to ensure the quality of the contracts with IT Service Providers, evaluate legal and regulatory risks and identify measures to mitigate them. He or she will also be expected to provide support on other legal matters within the company, beyond the scope previously mentioned.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Support VWFS (Lisbon and Porto) on legal, compliance and regulatory matters;
• To draft, revise and negotiate contracts with IT Service Providers and end Customers of VWFS Porto;
• Negotiation of contracts required for the operations of VWFS Porto;
• Identify and measure legal and regulatory risks and propose measures to mitigate them;
• To establish and manage processes and workflows between VVWFS Porto, Service Providers and HQ's;
• To develop the GDPR requirements for VWFS Porto.

We believe that the right profile for this job should have / be:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law;
• Minimum of five years' experience as a lawyer in an IT company or in a law firm in a department dedicated to IT matters;
• Minimum of five years' experience drafting, preparing, and negotiating IT contracts;
• Experience in legal matters as licensing, liability (and limitation), IP rights, export control, data protection, IT security;
• Experience in regulatory requirements for Banks (Outsourcing, IT security, BCM);
• Experience in Compliance;
• Advance level of English, written and spoken;
• Availability to travel to Porto.

The lawyer will integrate the VWFS Legal and Compliance Department. The lawyer will work for VWFS Porto but from the offices in Alfragide (Lisbon) where the Legal and Compliance Team is located.
