AI Specialist Sustainability (m/f/d)
We are looking for support for our Körber Sustainability Initiative at our Körber Campus Porto.
Your role in our team
• Supporting the central team of the Körber Sustainability Initiative. It develops the Group's sustainability strategy (ESG) and steers its successful implementation across the Group in order to fulfill Körber's sustainability promise: ‘With our activities, we enable a better life for present and future generations’.
• For this newly created position we are looking for a skilled AI Specialist to leverage the potential of AI to drive Körber’s sustainability initiative: We contribute to sustainability with our technological power and expertise.
• In this role, you will help enhance and automate ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) reporting processes, particularly in line with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) including EU Taxonomy and contribute to improving ESG ratings and rankings (e.g. EcoVadis, CDP.
• Develop, program, test and implement AI-driven solutions
• Automate data flows and reporting processes
• Identify and integrate relevant ESG data sources
• Create dashboards and visualizations to monitor ESG performance
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across Körber (e.g., sustainability team, IT, data owners); particularly close cooperation with the Head of Sustainability at Körber AG and the central sustainability team at the Hamburg headquarters
Your profile
• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science or Sustainability Management with a focus on or proven skills in Data Science, Computer Science
• Experience with AI/ML technologies, ideally in a reporting or sustainability context
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, Power BI, Tableau)
• Hands-on experience working with data lakes and relevant technologies for big data processing and integration (e.g., Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, Databricks, Apache Spark).
• At least 2-3 years of professional experience
• Helpful is a good to deep understanding and knowledge of ESG frameworks and standards (e.g., CSRD, EU Taxonomy); familiarity with ESG ratings and rankings is a plus
• Good communication skills and experience in stakeholder engagement
• Excellent analytical skills, independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
• Enthusiasm for sustainability
