Platform Engineer

Location : Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid – 2 days per week on-site)

Responsibilities

Design and maintain scalable platforms using Kubernetes and related tools ( Istio, Argo CD, Crossplane, API Gateways, Kibana ).

Implement and optimize CI / CD pipelines for efficient development and deployment.

Manage production and development systems, ensuring automation, stability, and reliability.

Develop Bash / Python scripts and automation tools to streamline processes.

Track progress and document work using Jira and Confluence .

Lead incident resolution and troubleshoot platform issues for continuous improvement.

Requirements

8+ years of proven professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related roles.

Strong hands-on experience with AWS resource administration .

Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes .

Solid background in DevOps practices and Observability tools .

Proven track record with CI / CD pipelines and automation frameworks .

Experience in system administration (preferably Linux-based environments).

Advanced proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and process optimization.

Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.
