Overview
Medical Science Liaison Oncology Genito-Urinary - North Region of Portugal. To maximize company product value through high scientific quality communication with leading Specialists on a peer-to-peer basis, aligned with the Medical Affairs Plan and local brand plans. Responsible for discussing our products, patients’ treatment trends and studies within the therapeutic areas, to be considered an internal and external trusted scientific counterpart.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and execute an individual Activity Plan aligned with the MSL Country Activity Plan and the Medical Affairs Component of relevant Brand Plans.
- Keep abreast of medical and scientific knowledge; provide continuous updates on products, patient treatment trends, and studies within the therapeutic area in the region.
- Develop and maintain a contact network with Leading Specialists; understand their needs, value drivers, treatment patterns and scientific activities.
- Communicate the value of company products, including clinical data discussions; convey medical benefits and foster innovative approaches.
- Represent the company with professional associations in the therapeutic area in cooperation with Medical Affairs and related departments.
- Provide proactive and reactive scientific communication consistent with the latest approved product information and regulatory guidelines; document off-label information requests as required.
- Organize and participate in Medical Education activities locally / regionally; identify / support speakers and develop education programs with scientific third parties; collaborate with Medical Education managers on national activities.
- Engage in Advisory Boards in cooperation with Medical Affairs / Education teams; participate in market access discussions presenting objective data to payors and committees; support pre-approval activities and payer engagement planning.
- Provide scientific support to Sales Representatives and other company staff; deliver medical training and act as a reference point for scientific queries.
Local Implementation Of Medical Affairs Plan In Their Areas
Support local company-sponsored studies, registries and non-interventional Medical Affairs studies; propose investigators and sites for interventional / non-interventional studies.Participate in investigator meetings, recruitment follow-up, and result presentations; review investigator proposals for IIS within Medical Affairs.Contribute to NPP programs by providing scientific support to physicians; gain insight into treatment patterns to inform Medical Affairs planning and decision-making.Comply with regulatory requirements, Health Care Business Integrity, and Pharmacovigilance; follow SAFE Fleet program principles; assist GCO studies by identifying potential sites and facilitating contacts with leading specialists.Report suspected adverse reactions within 24 hours to Pharmacovigilance.Essential Knowledge & Skills
Scientific degree (Medical Doctor, Pharmaceutical or Life Science) or related qualification.Deep knowledge of the therapeutic area; strong data interpretation and research skills.Ability to engage Leading Specialists in a peer-to-peer scientific dialogue; relevant experience and communication skills.Customer-focused with awareness of business results; innovative with ability to manage a complex, changing environment.Adherence to Johnson & Johnson Credo values and International Health Care Business Integrity guidelines.Seniority level
