React Native Developer – Long Term Contract (Remote, Portugal-based)

About the Role

We are looking for a React Native Developer to join a long-term contract engagement on a high-impact mobile project. You will work across both iOS and Android , contributing to the development, maintenance, and improvement of existing applications.

This role requires someone who can take ownership from day one , work autonomously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Occasional travel may be required (0–15%).

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native for iOS and Android.

Take ownership of tasks and deliver high-quality, maintainable code.

Work on brownfield projects , including maintenance, refactoring, and migration of existing code.

Implement and maintain native modules , particularly for GPS / geolocation features.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including POs, designers, and backend engineers.

Contribute to debugging, performance optimization, and CI / CD workflows.

Adapt quickly to new teams, technologies, and project contexts.

Requirements

Solid experience with React Native for both iOS and Android.

Strong knowledge of TypeScript .

Experience working on brownfield projects (maintenance, refactoring, migration).

Experience with native modules , especially GPS / geolocation.

Strong communication skills in English.

Proactive, autonomous, and able to deliver results quickly.

Nice to Have

Experience with CI / CD pipelines for mobile apps.

Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams .

Experience with debugging and performance optimization .

Contract Details

Long-term contract with potential for extension.

Competitive daily rate.

Fully remote within Portugal (other locations considered depending on project).
