We are in search of a
Head of Electronics & Embedded Engineering
to join our innovative team as our new #bloqstar.
In this role, you'll play a crucial role in
driving the structured execution of our electronics and embedded systems
— ensuring that every board, firmware, and integrated system is delivered on time, with quality, and ready to scale.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own the full hardware+firmware execution lifecycle, from schematics and PCB development to firmware integration and release readiness
- Lead and support the Embedded and Electronics teams, coaching team leads, driving prioritization, and aligning technical execution with company goals
- Ensure cross-functional coordination, working closely with Product, QA, Industrialization and Program to remove blockers and deliver on time
- Establish and enforce engineering processes for peer reviews, gated releases, BOM validation, and documentation standards
- Monitor quality and reliability KPIs, driving accountability on test coverage, defect resolution, and post-release stability
- Support career growth and team structure, identifying needs, gaps and helping team members evolve into stronger individual contributors and leads
- Drive continuous improvement, reducing technical debt and improving delivery predictability across embedded and electronics pipelines
What You'll Bring To The Table
Solid background in Electronics and Embedded Systems Engineering, with strong understanding of schematics, PCB design, and firmware integrationProven experience leading technical teams, ideally across both hardware and firmware domains in a fast-paced product development environmentTrack record of delivering production-grade electronics systems, not just prototypes — with ownership of validation and release cyclesStrong system-level thinking, able to align architecture decisions, risk mitigation, and timelines across multiple hardware componentsHands-on understanding of quality gates, test strategies (FiL / HIL), BOM validation, and release-readiness best practicesExcellent communication and coordination skills, able to interface with multiple teams and manage execution clarity under pressureFluency in English, written and spoken — this is our working language and critical for cross-team collaborationIt Would Be Great If You Would Also Have
Experience with validation frameworks and automated testing setups (e.g. HIL rigs, FiL environments, test orchestration tools)Background working on connected or field-deployed hardware systems, such as IoT devices, industrial controls, or smart infrastructureFamiliarity with hardware release processes at scale, including ECNs, BOM structuring, versioning and field support coordinationWhy join us?
