Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Solution Architect to steer the design, governance, and evolution of complex, distributed, and scalable enterprise systems at an enterprise-wide level.
This senior management role demands deep expertise in Java / Spring Boot, cloud and hybrid architectures, enterprise integration patterns, along with proven leadership skills to influence organizational architecture decisions, drive large-scale transformation initiatives, and contribute strategically to business goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership in designing and implementing enterprise-wide solutions that span on-premises, off-premises, cloud-native, and hybrid environments
- Define and drive the evolution of distributed systems with a strong emphasis on low latency, high throughput, resilience, scalability, maintainability, and operational excellence
- Shape and advance the organization’s adoption of modern enterprise architecture patterns, such as microservices, event-driven architecture, and domain-driven design (DDD)
- Establish and institutionalize robust frameworks and governance structures to ensure security, compliance, and data privacy across all system designs, aligned with standards like SOC2, HIPAA, and GDPR
- Lead the development and scaling of an Architecture and Technology Center of Excellence (CoE) to define, promote, and refine architectural best practices, playbooks, and toolkits
- Define enterprise-wide architecture principles and ensure their consistent application by partnering closely with Principal Architects, technical leaders, and senior business stakeholders
- Craft and implement long-term technology roadmaps, transformation strategies, and platform modernization plans in alignment with the organization’s broader business goals and growth objectives
- Act as a primary advisor to C-level and senior business leaders, translating high-level strategic objectives into actionable enterprise technology strategies
- Oversee complex architectural reviews, systemic risk assessments, and performance analyses to proactively identify and mitigate technical and business risks
- Inspire and mentor architects, senior engineers, and technical leaders by fostering a culture of continuous learning, hands-on leadership, and technical excellence
- Champion collaboration across departments, working in partnership with product, engineering, operations, legal, and security teams to deliver innovative and sustainable enterprise-level solutions
- Lead vendor assessment and selection processes to ensure alignment with strategic architecture goals while negotiating favorable terms and partnerships for the organization
- Represent architecture leadership in external forums and industry discussions to build the organization’s reputation as a leader in enterprise solution strategy and design
Requirements
12+ years of progressive experience in software engineering and enterprise solution architecture, with a proven track record of delivering architecturally complex enterprise-scale systems at a senior management levelDemonstrated leadership in driving 5+ large-scale transformation projects within the last 2-3 years, including cloud migration or enterprise modernization initiativesExpert-level knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture, with extensive hands-on experience in designing and implementing these systems at scaleComprehensive expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), hybrid cloud / on-prem integration, modern cloud-native technologies, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Extensive knowledge of networking, database systems (SQL / NoSQL), API management, and system observability practices, with a strong ability to build resilient architecturesProven experience in developing secure and regulatory-compliant architectures that meet complex global standards such as SOC2, GDPR, and HIPAAExceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, communicate, and achieve alignment with C-level executives, technical teams, and business stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with tactical execution across diverse and cross-functional teamsEnglish level of C1 or higher for compelling and confident communication, both written and verbal, across technical and executive-level forumsNice to have
